Lab 6- Bivariate Mapping

This map shows two variables in Buffalo. The first, represented by proportional symbols is the number of children aged 5-17. The second, represented by the chlorpleth background is the total population of the different census tracts. From this map you could roughly see where more school age children are in comparison with population levels. This map could be useful to educators, transportation departments, and demographers.

Lab 6- Proportional symbol map

This map shows the population of cities accross the globe. From this map you can see where the largest capital cities are located globally.

Lab 6- Dot Mapping

This map shows the distribution of children aged 5-17 by county in Idaho. Theoretically this map could be used by future educators to locate potential jobs in counties with more families and children in them.

This map illustrates the average precipitation of Idaho in 2008. To obtain the contour lines in this map I used the inverse distance weighted (IDW) method.
